| Introduction to the Site |
The site has been produced mainly to showcase what I have learnt on the internet as well as a few things I have constructed. I chose the alias of Sooty way back in 1990 when playing a computer game (possibly Tristan Pinball). I completed it with a high score so it asked for my name. On the high score table were other aliases but I didn't have one of my own. The Sooty Show was on TV at the time in the background so I just wrote my name in as Sooty. It has stuck ever since. Recently I have encountered a few other people using the same alias so I now set out to establish I was the first (to my knowledge) to use it so there can be only one true sooty on the net, except for the puppet:).
This site will be eventually used to show all the websites I have created in the past, information on computer games I am currently playing, guides to some of the more complicated stuff on the net as well as any other pointless pieces of information I feel like sharing.
Sooty's Homepage is designed to run in 1024 by 768 resolution and on IE 5.5. If it works on any other set up then great but its a fluke. I do try and design for all types of browsers, resolutions and color depths but I find it too difficult to get everything running on all systems. I have done my best however, if it doesn't work you will not see the menu bar below the title or maybe anything else either. |
